Remembering Charlotte Jane

We’re honoured to share the story of Charlotte Jane Wilson, a much-loved daughter, little sister and twin to Matilda.

Thank you to Charlotte’s family for sharing their beautiful girl with us and helping others understand that even when a baby dies, they remain a very important part of their family, always.

On the 14th of August 2023 at 36 weeks and 3 days our beautiful twin girls were born. Matilda and Charlotte were born 1 minute apart and looked so incredibly alike. Heartbreakingly, Charlotte was stillborn.

I had gone into hospital with decreased movements and found out she had died, they were delivered via emergency caesarean that night. Charlotte's cause of death was a Fetomaternal Hemorrhage; she had bled out into my blood stream and unfortunately because she had lost a very significant amount, there was nothing we could have done.

We will always wonder why. Charlotte had the sweetest button nose, red rosy lips and the most gorgeous strawberry blonde hair - the same colour all of our children have had.

We got to spend 4 days with our beautiful girls at the hospital. Our son got to meet his sisters on his 2nd birthday.

It has been almost 3 years since we last held our precious daughter. We think of Charlotte every single day, love her beyond measure and carry her with us in everything we do. She is deeply missed and forever part of our family.

Thank you for remembering Charlotte with us,
Rebecca & Daniel
